TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in London, there is no strict rule regarding the duration for which you must have 500,000 THB in your bank account. While some users recommend showing bank statements for 2 to 3 months as evidence, others have successfully submitted just one recent statement without any minimum time requirement. However, recent trends indicate that embassy requirements may be tightening, so it's advisable to check the latest guidelines and prepare accordingly.
yes that’s because it’s a proof of funds, irrelevant if you had 500k last June or this month but if you show say 3 months statements and most recent is at 500k or more that should be fine.
which embassies are tightening up exactly? Is there any news on this, or is it just an assumption?

Anonymous participant 942 easy enough to research and glean a pattern. Approval posts from last summer compared to what's being asked for and submitted up until today.
2 or 3 statements above 500k , or can it gradually build up to 500k then apply soon after hitting 500k?

Anonymous participant You just need a final balance of 500K, no seasoning needed for London.. Each addittional statement you provide does not need to be 500K
Not your business what AP does 🤷 Not your business how much AP or anyone else lives on. Not sure why you commented at all to be honest. You're not an IO are you?
I know a few people who have borrowed it just to meet the criteria. It's not difficult

Anonymous participant 353 I’m sure you have. It’s called rigging the system. They will check and if you don’t have or own the funds, you could be rejected.
If you’re coming here to scrimp and scrape, you really shouldn’t be applying.
what nonsense reply? The government don’t want people rigging the system. Do you have the 500,000 as your own? If you don’t, you shouldn’t apply as you’re not eligible.
I’ve interviewed the government people who have approved this visa, they are sick of people trying to apply when they are not passing the required checks. Longer checks of the money are required, at least a month. Just save it up, then apply. Do not borrow it
