TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, crossing the border by land is typically considered an exit from Thailand. However, opinions vary on how this might affect visa status, with some suggesting it's best to spend a few days abroad to ensure reentry is recognized. There are mixed views regarding fees associated with reentry and the legitimacy of border crossings into neighboring countries like Laos or Cambodia.
The simple answer is yes, crossing the border by land is fine though you should spend a couple of days exploring while you are away to make a trip of it.
i heard this kind of things before. Especially with arrival 14 days visa for some countries, unless exiting by air. But in DTV case I have no idea and wondering, have anyone done and renew another 180days.
Nope, you have to renounce your entry by sending a 10,000 word hand written letter to the king of thailand and pay $1m to be considered as exiting the country via a land border and it also doesnt count if you cross into cambodia as you'll need to additionally ride a donkey over the border
3500 for Visa Exempt run. DTV is the higher price lol. When Visa Exempt increased to 60 days the border my pal used increased from 2500 to 3500. They must be charging on length of stamp lol
I think the price included "Safe Entry". Certain agents are selling DTVs with no need to attend any Soft Power activities. This probable complements that. These DTV's might not work out to be a cheap option after all.
