Actually you can get a Thai bank account with a DTV, use an agent, depends on the bank as everything does in Thailand. I was also told you cannot get a Thai license because you need a proof of residence which you also officially cannot get on a DTV yet I managed to get both, both of these you need to open a Thai bank account🙂. This is not the official rules, as with anything in Thailand

For me, I chose to go and spend the weekend in Hanoi, was a cheap weekend away and served my purpose of the 6 month reset,😊maybe treat yourself to a brief holiday rather than a visa run chore

Bank statement need to be less than 30days old i believe and at times they may request an even closer date to your application, am not 100 on the movement in the account though.

One of requirements is also having 500k THB in your bank, if you want to apply as a DN then you also need a letter fron your company stating you can work remotely, i am self enployed so just wrote my own letter to cover that. Also the fact that it is a Thai visa greatly dependa on where you apply for the visa as to how steict they are about the rules, I am a Kiwi and was told I can only apply for it in NZ but I got mine from Canberra in Australia becuase i was in OZ, took 3 days to get. So there is some luck involved.

Get a DTV instead, it also 5 years total and only cost $600, plus you can keep your money on your account rather than in a Thai bank acconut, well that is what I have done anyway😊

Yes but it will only be valid if you remain there, if you move to a different place and then go to immigration to extend you will need the TM30 to match where you are currently staying.

Followed this post by Emma as a guide, am also a Kiwi but been in Oz for about 6 months so had a bank statement and license for proof of address, attached the VEVO to the proof of address section using pdf merger. Uploaded my NZ company rego doc as well as my letter to work remotely. Had no further document requests, submitted 10pm Monday, had it approved by 10am Friday. Was super fast but I had absolutely everything attached and double checked it all before sending. Very easy. Glad I didn't follow other advice from sites saying you have to do it inNZ if you are an NZ company as it would have cost 2K.
