Hi everybody, i have a question : if i show the 500k baths on a saving account, won’t they ask to see a paper explaining thoses funds are disponible immediately ? I don’t have such a paper + bank statements are written in french. I also don’t have a monthly statement for that account. Just one every year, so i will show a statement showing the 500k balance on januray 24 and another one one year later, jan 25, showing the funds haven’t moved.

Any advice please ?

I know that every situation is different based on responses from this group but I have multiple accounts and simply moved the required amount to one account over the course of a couple of days and sent that document and it was approved for me with no further questions asked from immigration. Although my one bank was wondering wtf was going on and froze my account until I explained to them what I was doing.

The statements are likely to be an issue but it will also be an issue if it's a term deposit or any sort of account that doesn't allow instant access. It might be an idea to move the money into a standard account, one which you get monthly statements for and the money is instantly accessible. Normally there is no requirement to show the money is in the account for 6 months, it's enough just to show 6 months of activity with a closing balance showing the required funds

Bank statement need to be produced on the same day you apply, I have provided them few days old statement, it was not accepted then I was asked to provide it again I produced one online in few minutes that was accepted

As long as the account shows your name and fulfills the embassy's requirements about how may months they should be there, you're okay.

But you might need to translate it to English.

You will need to check with the embassy you apply from if they accept your savings account. Vast majority of embassies want the 500k in a regular easy accessible account with 6 monthly statements.

i have been told since 1st of january there are no special request from embassies and its impossible to know anyway with Hanoi’s one in Vietnam 🤷🏼‍♂️

Vietnam just requires a final balance of 500K THB, no minimum banked time for the balance. You could apply with just the statement but could be asked to show additional 5-6 months of statements.

Bank statement need to be less than 30days old i believe and at times they may request an even closer date to your application, am not 100 on the movement in the account though.
