As I said, I'm not "calling out" anyone, merely pointing out that the American way of writing dates is different to the rest of the world and confuses people, as evidenced by this thread. That is just a fact.

I was merely making the point that if America would conform with normality, things would be a lot less confusing for everyone. I wasn’t “calling out” anyone in particular, just making a point. If you took umbrage at that, then so be it.

...and somebody thought it meant 23rd November and 23rd January. Most Americans use the completely illogical month/day/year instead of the logical progression of day/month/year.

It would be helpful if the Yanks wrote the dates the same way as normal people, wouldn't it? 😂

Your military background counts for absolutely nothing with respect to a Thai visa. There is absolutely no way you will get a Retirement Visa before you turn 50. Farming is out, marriage is a possibility, but a "marriage of convenience" is no more a good idea in Thailand than it would be to someone wanting to settle in the US. Your best bet in the circumstances would seem to be the Elite Visa

Yeah, I think the delay is probably because I go through the Sri Racha office and they have to get it approved by Chon Buri.

The office I go to is actually in Sri Racha, not in Muang Chon Buri itself, but thanks for the heads up. I'll check in early November.
