I find great comedy in the expats/retirees who think they own Thailand. Even if you're on a long term visa, you are still a guest in Thailand as well. Stop acting like you own this country and let people live. If they can get a opportunity to spend more time here, how does it affect your life? Waaaa. I gotta spend 30 min longer at immigration because people are getting a free 60 days in Thailand due to covid. Big whip! Get a life and let people live.
Keep everything the way it is. Don't take a chance messing up your visa. Thailand is not going anywhere. If all, an extra couple weeks the curfew might move back to 10-11
I thought I read it as universal. I need to apply for retirement visa in a couple months when I turn 50 and was going to switch the 800 k around April.
nah. I have cold like symptoms. Just honestly thought it was the dry heat and pollution here. I moved here, so not wasted for me, but I do see your point for holiday it being wasted. It's the chance people have to decide to take.
I can attest to how seriously they are taking it. I tested positive on day 6. I was looking at condos to rent and they called me. They said do not take BTS or taxi. They came and got me in ambulance van. Drove me to hotel. Informed hotel staff I was entering to get my luggage and then off to quarantine hotel. There are all kinds here. Some Thais are required to quarantine here as well. They treat you pretty well. Nurses are on top of it and always texting every hour or so to make sure everything is ok. I suggest if you come here and make it past day 1 of your trip, stay in your hotel till 2nd covid test. I went out 1 single night and caught it. Just be careful. It's everywhere and the Thai government is taking it very seriously. I was angry at first, but actually relieved to know they are doing what they can to keep people safe.
