TLDR : Answer Summary
If a tourist in Thailand tests positive for COVID-19 after completing sandbox quarantine, they are required to report their positive test result to the Thai government. Following this, quarantine measures will be enforced. While traditional quarantine may be necessary, it is possible to opt for home isolation if the individual has appropriate accommodations and no symptoms. Furthermore, failing to report a positive test could result in a fine of 20,000 baht.

Does the insurance covers for cost of hotel accommodation if u are under home isolation?

It is possible they allow you home isolation if you have a place to stay. Pal is here on tourist visa and is upcountry. After a clear chest x-ray and no symptoms he was allowed home isolation - proviso you must have somewhere to stay though.

@Gr**
No, you cannot home isolate anymore.

Absolutely wrong - plain and simple. I am chatting to a pal on messenger right now who is doing it now. Chest X-Ray clear yesterday and sent home with Favipravir and other meds. Do you want him to come on here and confirm you are mistaken? Came in 10th from Singapore on a clear test, first test negative in Test and Go. Second test 16th and positive.

It was a rhetorical question. I would not be too quick to call people liars. Bangkok Community Help are also helping people isolate at home. Look at their posts or are you calling them liars too?

@Gr**
It wasn't a rhetorical question, it was a bluff. I called your bluff and you folded like treehouse.

Are you calling me a liar? You are 100% wrong have not got the balls to admit it. Call me a liar to my face as we are both in Bangkok. Now I am out of here.
