Buy an onward one way good ticket to a neighbouring country then cancel and get refund. Your airline may not allow you to board as you will only be given 60 days visa exempt on arrival

Morchit station in Bangkok have bus to the border known as Poi Pet.

You then go through immigration and take minivan or bus the other side, about 4 hrs.

Long travelling time but certainly cheaper than getting a last minute flight

Certainly not straight forward as you require a work permit, if only financial involved that maybe easier. Foreigners looking for work in Thailand need to apply for a Non-Immigrant B Visa. This needs to be applied for before entering the country, and requires sponsorship from an employer. Once in the country, you'll be granted a Work Permit.

depending the time of arrival if you are in Suvarnabhumi airport there is a bus on the ground floor. If in Don Muang you can take a van to Morchit and get a bus. Taxi are available at both airports
