With Kasikorn Bank. I don't have an app. Don't even have a smart phone, yes it is possible to survive without.

All the new regulations with facial scan and maximal withdraw amount, does that affect me at all ?

Normally I withdraw over the counter a couple of times per year and move money to my trading account once a year. Each time around 200.000 per transaction. Don't use ATM. Use the debit card for online shopping. Once a year I get the letter for immigration from the bank.

Does the new rules affect me a any way ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the impact of new banking regulations, including facial recognition and withdrawal limits, on their banking habits, given that they do not use a smartphone or banking app. Community responses suggest that these new regulations may not significantly affect users who primarily withdraw over the counter and do not often transfer large amounts, emphasizing that limits on transactions primarily apply to online banking or ATM withdrawals.

I'm with SCB and I got several messages about facial recognition, they have set a limit on transfers out of 50k, but as I seldom transfer that kind of money out I haven't bothered to set it up yet. The limit doesn't apply to transfers in. Everything else is working as normal. ATM, transfers, online banking, Promptpay etc

OH SCB certainly did not have face recognition set up last month, one had to phone the call centre, answer security questions to increase limit

They have only recently set it up. I was asked to call into a branch with my passport and phone, the one I use to access online banking

SCB will ask you to come in, only to tell you the limit is 50K, and anything more has to be authorized first to activate the transaction for an hour. They currently have no way to cohesively match passport number for foreigners in the same way they match up THAI ID number for locals. On the other hand Bangkok Bank seems to have overcome this.
