What steps should a German expat take to obtain a NON-B visa and work permit for Thailand from Germany?

I don't wanna hijack any posts, but German or not, you get to Thailand as a tourist, sign a contract with your school, and they go for/with you to immigration for a non-b and then to the labor dep for a work permit
