As far as "need" goes, no, you do not need it. However, if you are considering getting it then consult your doctor! I got vaccinated in the USA (Moderna) at 19 and 23 weeks pregnant. My doctor was very much in favor of it, but you should ask your doctor and see what they say. It may depend on what vaccine is available. Also, the best research currently shows there is NO evidence of increased risk of miscarriage (see
83). There is also a helpful guide from the CDC in the USA available at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations/pregnancy.html.
These two resources helped guide me to my decision, but the best advice is TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR.
I used CVS to do mine. They said results in 1-2 days, so I scheduled it for a Monday morning (my flight was Wednesday early afternoon). Got the results back Tuesday evening, no problem. Each leg of my trip back and immigration in Thailand accepted the results without issue. The paper clearly states the date and time of the test, the doctor, and the results.
is there a reason to apply for the 90-day visa versus the 1-year in this case? If the consulate/embassy offers both, why the 90-day? I'm in the exact same situation and was going to apply for the 1-year.
