The Embassy of Canada provides a letter confirming an income for Canadian citizen applying for a retirement visa, a marriage visa, and one year visa renewal to stay in Thailand.
Due to situation of Coronavirus pandemic, the income letter service is currently available online. You will be able to apply for an income letter by e-mail.
Please note: Service may be delayed for 1-2 weeks
Please e-mail the completed affidavit to the Embassy of Canada along with the following documents;
1. a copy of your passport
2. supporting document confirms your pension or other income such as Canada Revenue Agency statement, Income tax return slip, pension letter, or 3 months of bank statement showing monthly income
3. notary service fee of CAD 50.- pay by credit card (Visa or Master) by completing the attached “Credit card authorization form”
Once receive your mail, we will issue a letter addressing to the Thai Immigration confirming your income and mail/EMS back to your address. Please provide your mailing address.

Hi again Mark. Well I am not that far along yet, I dont leave for Samui from Toronto until Sep 28. My proof of retirement will come from Cdn Embassy in Thailand. I will add the info about doing that below in a following message. I will look to extend my tourist visa around the 30 day mark i suspect, maybe a bit earlier. I havent decided yet, but I might just go directly to the non immigrant O (retirement), rather than extending the tourist visa - havent decided on that yet.
