there is no overstay stamp for one day. Stop fear mongering.

The cost for overstay is less than the extension. There is no other penalty than the financial fine for a short overstay (you won't be banned from returning). In this case no reason to bother with extension

Anyone who claims to know in here doesn't know anything ... that's the only certain thing. As for speculation sure why not it'll be extended as incoming tourism is less than it was due to suspension of test and go...

I would go now and simply explain that with the explosion of cases in usa you don't feel safe going.. I have gotten two extensions with NO such letter (I'm american]
