I booked a month long course with a school in Bangkok about 6months ago. I then had a look 2 weeks ago at the DTV requirements and under 'education' I took a £300 gamble and applied.

All I needed was proof of payment and an acceptance letter, regards the soft power section.

Not sure if I am an exemption as the school did say "they have not yet sent an acceptance letter for DTV"

I plan on doing more 4week modules as and when so don't mind booking and paying in advance and having a new itinerary , as initially thought about an ED visa but would not work for me. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I have done a similar thing. I had a pre booked (months ago) 4 week mon-fri course...and thought I would apply for DTV. It was successful. Now I have heard rumours that each visit, would need to show a new itinerary/course.

Like I say rumours, as the visa does not state whether the person is on soft power or digital nomad etc

it is a thought, especially schools like Duke, with a good reputation and endorsed. Even an individual teacher maybethat I have used for 1to1?. But I think I will allow time and see if others have been approved or knocked back etc. I can see why they are saying use the ED visa instead, but staying long term, 9+ months isn't financially an option for me unfortunately.
