TLDR : Answer Summary
The validity of the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) remains intact even if your passport is renewed within 18 months, as long as you follow the proper procedures. If you need to renew your passport while in Thailand, you can usually transfer your DTV visa and stamps to the new passport at your embassy. If you receive a sticker visa, transferring it is necessary; however, if you have an e-visa as a PDF, you only need to show a printout. Always keep your old passport until the visa transfer is complete.

If you actually get a sticker visa you'll need to get it transferred, if you get an e-visa PDF then all you need is a printout to show immigration when you enter Thailand. Keep your old passport safe until the sticker visa has been transferred.

I asked London embassy, because I need to renew next year, they said take old passport with me , as you don't get a 'stick in' visa, more a pdf printable A4 paper copy šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Once here you can get a new passport at your embassy (if you have one in Thailand) then transfer the visa and respective stamps to the new passport. It's a standard process here. The visa is five years in length.

Yes. It's an easy process. Time consuming, but easy.
