Can I apply for a DTV visa as an offshore worker on a Non O visa?

I work offshore, more or less 6 months per year, all over the world but recently mainly West Africa and Europe.

I work through a UK based agency that specialises in people in my profession.

Up to now I've had a Non O based on marriage a couple of times, but haven't kept it up as renewal dates fell when I was offshore, and generally I get by on visa exemption (on arrival) plus extensions when necessary.

Does anyone know if I'd be able to apply successfully for DTV, or has anyone in a similar position to me tried?

TIA for any input.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster works offshore for six months a year and currently relies on visa exemption and extensions for stay in Thailand. They ask if it's feasible to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa, reflecting on their past experience with Non O visas. The comments provide additional perspectives, with one questioning the benefits of the DTV compared to current arrangements, while another suggests direct contact for shared experiences.

Just curious, if you are fine with exempt + ext which I assume is 90 days, what benefit is the DTV?

DTB lets you work legally for 5 years with multiple entry. With VE you are likely to be stopped on your 3rd 90 days exit and reentry and questioned. as it suggests you are living in Thailand not a genuine tourist,

Hey mate, drop me a DM, I'm in a similar situation but managed to sort it.
