Mike u will first need a Non O visa to get the retired visa, u can do it here but it will need time, my tip, just go with all neccecary papers to Penang and u have it in 2 days. Then u can change it here in phuket to a retired visa , with the neccecary papers like bank, with the non o u can open in every bank an account without any problem as well....if u need my help just pm me I live on phuket

Penang is an easy consulate and may be u use Jimmys place as an agent to get all done, he knows what u need and if something is missing he can help directly....u can use the train as well from kk to Penang but a flight is quicker !
