on the contrary (and quite bizarrely in my opinion considering uk borders are open) the uk embassy is issuing letters for brits on overstay amnesty, who want to stay in thailand longer.

unless it's changed they're only issuing if your country of residence is closed...ie most won't get a letter.Brian **********
