Personally I'd get the 60 day visa and get a 30 day extension depending on how much time you plan to travel in Thailand. Heading to your next destination after you've done what you've wanted to in Thailand. Do your other travels in SE asia before returning to Thailand. You'll have no issues with immigration as far as denied entry if you did it this way

Yeah you'll be right. They may ask to see your exit flight but I'm guessing that's all. You been away for over 2 months so they shouldn't accuse you of living in Thailand off tourist visas

I think if you apply for a non-oa in the USA you get a year. It's only when you apply for the non-o in Thailand that you get 90 days
