the average super balance is only about $140 000.....most Aussie retires will end up on a pension after a few years once their super runs out . Infact most will get a part pension with their super ....the Brits have had a similar scheme in place for years but not refferred to as superannuation

I think most foreigners are worse cus altho they may have a licence they probably haven't ridden for years especially the older ones like myself ....I rode for 30 years but haven't driven for over 10 now ...it's just not worth the risk in a foreign country where any accident will always be your fault .....don't know why farangs even bother or take the risk

yeh ....that's the problem ...damage often doesn't show up until years later ...I Jog for short distances but I'm afraid of long term issues coming to light further down the track

@James ********
yep ....that's the big problem with jogging ...not good for the joints particularly if running on a hard surface.

I don't think this makes any difference ...people end up overstaying for many reasons ...u can get a fake ticket on line and a border bus run ticket for a few dollars is allowed . Having said that I've seldom been asked
Andrew *******
@Dennis ********
I understand the reasoning ...but when people can purchase fake tickets and only need to spend $20 to do a border run ...it makes it difficult for those that want an open itinary and flexibility .
Andrew *******
Still cannot understand why an onward ticket is required ....it's cheap enough to get a bus ticket to border ...and many are now getting the fake tickets .. makes travelling inflexible and more difficult .

crazy times that just seem to be getting more difficult ....at a stage of life where you hoped things would get easier

that's terrible!! It's as tho they are intentionally trying to make it difficult for people. In Australia you have to reside 2 years prior or after recieving pension !! Even if you've worked continuously for 40 years it's *""'''*#disgraceful what govts are allowed to get away with
