DC usually fast which is where i got my DTV, maybe go on your dashboard to see if new notifications , sometimes they request for extra documents. Check your junk mail box since sometimes the notifications go there

@Joe *******
then why dont you apply for DTV? Requirements are lower (500k baht) and only need one time statement from bank in your own country. 5 year validity is even better than retirement visa( need yearly renewal)

Survival bias. Rejection may be more often than you think. People get rejected probably wont post their experiences here since its probably their own fault.

Moving to Thailand if you have determination. You don’t need money, you don’t need remote job. Only you need is the determination in making things happen.

Personally I feel like you are in the bad situation that have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. You have a hard time living in your own country anyway(? India/pakistan), so struggle in Thailand or struggle in your own country is the same thing.

Coming to Thailand with no income, you may face a high risk of overstaying visa, finding illegal work, getting low salary equivalent to Thai, and got kicked out by Thailand at some point and never be able to return. This is not encouraged, but if that makes you happy and regain mental health, then that is the most important.

Coming to this forum will not help you since 99% of the people here have a job or save up money to live in Thailand, so naturally we are in different positions. You at the same time, got divorced so you are making the decision for yourself only, which make it easier

Trust your gut, do your research, make a plan, make the best effort and never look back or regret.
