depend on the visa. Have a look. If it says"multi entry"then you just leave thailand and return without problems. Of course now a days you have to apply for COE etc etc.

Not correct look for hotels that do not require prepaid or require just a small downpayment and promis to refund if your COE is not issued !

Next to that if you are traveling and are staying in hotels or guesthouses the tm 30 has to be done by the owner of the hotel or guesthouse.

Airline can refuse you, immigration can. Lat time i was flying with lufthansa they required to see my visa. Have a non o 1 year so no problem.

But if he stays everytime two months in thailand and he can apply during the last 30 days of that period it will not be possible to ask for an extension of stay. Only if he is lucky and can aoply 45 days before it will be possible. I do have the same problem !
