TLDR : Answer Summary
Several commenters shared their experiences regarding the processing time for obtaining a tourist visa for Thailand. While some pointed out that the embassy indicates a minimum processing time of 15 days, others reported successfully receiving their visas in as little as 2 to 4 working days depending on their location and specific circumstances. The accuracy of processing times seems to vary significantly based on location, the specific consulate, and any associated travel requirements like the Certificate of Entry (COE). Those looking to travel should check with their local embassy for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Christmas this year, 2020?? forget it.just forget it. Maybe you have heard about corona, two weeks quarantaine and lots of paperwork. Absolute impossible.

Be careful, in Belgium it took me from 17 November submitting docs for visa to 4 December to get the COE approval, that’s 18 calendar days.

Depends what country you are in

Has there been any announcement about foreigners resident here in Thailand getting the Covid vaccine. Everything I've read says it will be free to Thai citizens but nothing about us.

@Colin *****
Thailand will start vaccination from Q3 2021. It is alleged the vaccination in Europe will cost $10x2, so even after the traditional Farang extra cost it should be affordable.

Depends which vaccine ..costs vary I believe from 6 euro to 70 euro ..

@Colin *****
Thailand will produce the Oxford from its Thai distribution , so may even be cheaper .

... Don't know where I read it but I saw 650 baht so that fits...Whether we pay at the hospital or clinic, who knows.

I’d suggest it depends where you are coming from, I am in Vientiane Laos and my visa was approved in two days, and COE 3 days, so yes, I could have done it in two weeks here...
Brahim ******
Thats great to hear that they didn't give you any hassle to get a visa. You will fly from Vientiane to don muang am I correct?
Brahim ******
@Steve ************
was that easy to get done and are you just on a tourist visa in laos? Just asking cause I might have to do it too.
Steve *************
@Brahim *****
yes, me and my Thai gf came here for me to do a visa, border run in March and have been stuck here ever since. My gf could have gone back, but stayed here with me, and we have been on Laos tourist visa the whole time, but unlike Thailand, Laos has charged us to renew our tourist visa every month.

I got my visa back after 4 working days (UK) sent it Friday and got the passport back the next Wednesday, just apply for the visa it’s £30 then when you have that book the rest around that but I’m not sure how long the Coe takes?

hi, how difficult is procedure to get back on tourist visa I am based in North Wales, looking at end January, thanks
Shaun *********
@Tom ******
I sent it 27 November and got it back 2nd December, they received in on the Monday and put it back in the post on Tuesday so I’d say that’s a good turnaround! But there’s a couple of bank holidays next week and they have been isolating due to a positive Covid test in the office this week
Tom *******
@Shaun ********
is the rest of procedure easy enough to get through,have read up on it seems to be getting easier??
Ryan ********
Depends where you are applying.

I had my visa and COE issued within a week. (Including weekend and a Canadian national holiday).

Depends where you are. But in Belgium - Holland issuing the Visa take only 1-2 working days at the moment. The best is to contact your local embassy and ask them about it! All the best 🙏

Here in Canada I was able to get everything done in 2 weeks. Took just over a week to mail my passport to the consulate and receive it back with visa. It is possible but it may depend on the consulate.

I wouldn't risk it. Embassy says 15 days for visa. Plus you need to apply for the COE.
