incorrect. in principle if you live more than 180 days a year in thailand you COULD be taxed. Depends on where the income is coming from, if there is a treaty between the country where you eaned the money and much more. Ask a tax consultant before you are going to ask for a tax id.

hoe come many complications.just easy to get that few papers and the money stays yours! Cost is 400 us dollars. Elite visa looks more complicaties and price is 1.000.000 baht for 10. Years. 400 dollars versus 1 millon baht !

500.000 for elitevisa is money you pay. 3 mio bahts is money you have and keep in your bank accountr. That is quite a difference. To have or not to have!
