It is possible but you also need a guid to bring you through china which isn’t cheep , I’ve looked into it, import tax for your vehicle is extortionate , from the UK to Thailand was estimated around 2 weeks driving , would be a great drive and I might still do it

My 2nd home is in a village in songklha , near Hat Yai , never had any problems , Yala & pattani could be a different story ! And as mentioned before any travel insurance will be deemed invalid
