Hi all, I was issued with a 60 day visa for my upcoming trip at the start of December , but In all I’ll be there for 63 days , I submitted my inbound and return flight details to the embassy when applying for the visa , what’s the best way around not getting done for an overstay?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about overstaying their 60-day visa in Thailand by 3 days. The community provides several suggestions: applying for a 30-day extension at an immigration office for 1900 THB, weighing the costs of changing flights versus the fines for overstaying, and opinions on the consequences of minor overstays, including differing views on fines and potential passport stamps.

A 30 days extension for 1900THB. What you mean with visa? You do not need a visa for 60 days, you can come visa exempt for 60 days now.

The problem is that your return light is not in the visa range. So the airline might reject you from boarding. Technique Thai border control aka immigration can reject you, too. But if you show the flight and they ask again, you can tell them you like to extend. Normally there is no complaint.

If your a serial overstayer, yeah that's a problem. But a one-off for a few days, don't sweat it. They make a few schekkles of ya as well.

Change your flight to be on the safe side .try not to get on the wrong side of immigration as you may want to return .

I think it would be more expensive to change my flight than get an extension or pay for 3 days tbh

Bobby Howard is correct. It's 500b per day overstay and you will not get in trouble for overstaying a few days. Whoever is saying that it will prevent you from re-entering Thailand or going to a neighboring country is not speaking from experience.

But you could get a red stamp in your passport stopping you from returning .it's 2000 baht a day overstay so that's 6000 baht most flights now have a change policy included in the price .

@Tony ******
where are you getting these figures from ? It’s 500 TB per day not 2000

@Gordon ******
Its up to 2000 a day and they can enforce it if they want.

Tony Grace. Wrong on so many counts. This is the kind of crap advice that scares people. There's no red stamp, it's a small dark blue stamp written totally in Thai so no other country anywhere in the world will know what it means. It's 500 Baht per day, NOT 2000 Baht. More crap advice. And an overstay fine does NOT stop anyone from returning. An overstay arrest can result in a 12 month ban, but a simple fine does not. Perhaps don't comment until you know what you're talking about

Apply for an extension at immigration office when there. Easy to do and it’s not like it’s really busy at the moment so should be in and out fairly quickly.

Don't overstay, if nothing else it's a red stamp in your passport that every country will see that you go to (you overstayed in Thailand, you might overstay there too).

You can extend 30 days in country at an immigration office for 1900 baht.

As
@Michael *******
says, you weigh up the price of extension v overstay. Keep in mind that (depending which immigration office you use) in many cases you can write off a whole day getting that extension, and sitting in an immigration office is not comparable to sitting on the beach sipping cocktails. A few days overstay is not a heinous crime, it's "easy money" for immigration. It's only when you drift past a few weeks it starts getting serious (and expensive).

sory but I strongly disagree. A day at immigration is awesome! So much drama. It's like East Enders on roids

overstay if you don't do it to many times you will only get the fine done it myself over the years

You can extend a 60 day tourist visa for 30 days in country for 1900 baht.

Or get overstay 3 days for 1500 baht.

P.S you will get people commenting whatever you do dont get overstay blah blah blah. I done it loads of times
