Terri Ferreira I apologize Terri. Tod Daniels has confirmed here that no South African passport holders can cross the border at Kanchanaburi. Amornrat here has suggested Ranong. You can take a train from Hua Hin to Chumpom. Then a bus from Chumpom to Ranong I have been to Ranong. A short boat trip takes you across to Myanmar and back. The immigration is on the pier where the boats leave and return. Also, accommodation in Ranong is easy to find if you want to stay the night. Approx 390 kilometres

Before you do anything, I suggest you Facebook search "visa service Kanchanaburi". A Thai guy called Day. He speaks English. He is NOT an agent. He does border runs from Hua Hin. He will tell you if you can cross the border with a South African passport. Circumstances change. You never know. He would definitely confirm if you can or cannot. If he can help you he will arrange to pick you up in Hua Hin. Worth a try
