Hello everyone. Need some advice please.... We need to do a boarder run on Monday ๐ in and out just to get our 30 days on arrival. We have a land border 3 hours from where we stay so this would be the best option for us...
We entered from Cambodia in June via land on 30 day arrival.
We then did a visa run for a 60 day tourist visa to laos in August and crossed by land coming in again.
Does this mean we have to fly now, even though we are not going to an embassy to apply for a visa!?
So many Grey areas.
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of making a border run to extend their 30-day arrival in Thailand after already having done a previous visa run. They seek clarification on whether they need to take a flight instead of crossing by land.
Terri Ferreira I apologize Terri. Tod Daniels has confirmed here that no South African passport holders can cross the border at Kanchanaburi. Amornrat here has suggested Ranong. You can take a train from Hua Hin to Chumpom. Then a bus from Chumpom to Ranong I have been to Ranong. A short boat trip takes you across to Myanmar and back. The immigration is on the pier where the boats leave and return. Also, accommodation in Ranong is easy to find if you want to stay the night. Approx 390 kilometres
Before you do anything, I suggest you Facebook search "visa service Kanchanaburi". A Thai guy called Day. He speaks English. He is NOT an agent. He does border runs from Hua Hin. He will tell you if you can cross the border with a South African passport. Circumstances change. You never know. He would definitely confirm if you can or cannot. If he can help you he will arrange to pick you up in Hua Hin. Worth a try
the Ban Phu Nam Ron crossing in Kanchanaburi to Myanmar. Is my nearest boarder and I am south Africa ๐ I believe we are having such issues at many of the boarders!
it is coming into Thailand without a valid visa using the 30 day Visa Exempt Entry. So please check your passport to see how many times you got this 30 day stamp this calendar year.
