Visa information required please.

My husband and I are UK citizens and travel to Thailand frequently as our son and granddaughter live there. Our son stays on a work visa and our granddaughter holds both a Thai and British passport.

When the ability to enter for 60 days came into effect with the option to extend to 90 days, my husband and I booked flights.

October - November for 49 days, we then booked flights December - March 89 days. We have now found out we can only stay a maximum of 90 days on a tourist visa over 6 month period.

We are both retired aged over 60 years old, is there another visa we can apply for before we consider changing our flights.

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for accepting me in the group.

Like many of you I'm also retired, I plan to apply for a three month retiree visa before I come to Thai, once I'm here I would like to have a multiple entry retiree visa, for one or better more years. Can you tell me what steps I have to take to achieve it and how much cost ? Unfortunately I'm not a millionaire. Thx.

For your information Monday July 22nd and Monday July 29th are public holidays so immigration offices will be closed.

This usually means that on the following Tuesday many offices will be super busy. Avoid going then if you can.

Land borders and airports are not affected by these closures.

Plan accordingly.

Hi all! Need some info, please.

1 To apply a retiree visa, is it mandatory to have the THB800K from abroad for someone who has worked in Thailand for years before and has already bank account with 800k?

2. Is it poasible to have multiple entry for a retiree visa Non-0 90 days and travel abroad before the 90 first days?

Thank you for your kind help.

Hi,

Iβ€˜m in Thailand for a little bit more than 5 months with a non-immigrant O retiree Visa that initially grants 90 days.

Now Iβ€˜m thinking about extension of stay.

My question is: what types of income will they accept?

Private pension

Rental income

Salary as it is a Sabbaticcal

Best regards

Uwe

Hi everyone,

I am currently here as a 50+ with NON-IMM-O visa and extension of stay. Now I unexpectedly have to return to my home country and can only return when my extension of stay has expired. - In this case, do I have to apply for a new NON-IMM-O visa, or can I apply for the extension of stay directly from the 30-day 'Visa exemption stamp on arrival'?

(My bank account will be untouched >800k Baht)

Thanks in advance.

I read on the embassy site that there are 5 and 10 year versions of the retiree visa, but no details were provided beyond that.

Can anyone fill me in please?

Information came from the elite visa section, where it compares to retiree visas

Hello all! First timer here posting. WRT retiree visa, coming from the US

- 50 yr old age to apply? Correct?

- is it recommended coming on tourist visa and applying for retiree there?

- does showing proof of monthly income (retirement) suffice for visa paperwork? I believe there is a set amount to show proof vice having the 800k baht?!

Thank you!!

It's been a while since I did my 90 days report in person. The online application for some reason did not work for me this time, so I will need to make the journey tomorrow. Is it now in Chaengwattana Immigration building B or in Muang Thong Thani? Thank you.

Hi All

Not been to Thailand since July 2020 and wanted to find out how things stand with the Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa. I have looked on the London Thai Embassy Website but I cannot find any information. It is a mess. I am over 50 and married 15 years to a Thai national. We currently live in the UK but are looking to go back to Thailand for a bit in November 2023. Any and all information gratefully received. (And/or if someone can point me to credible, recent websites that cover this I would be very grateful.) TIA πŸ™
