It’s quite popular and the requirements are getting tougher.

Ok I got an email this afternoon.

They could not read the bio data page of the passport.

They did not like the screenshot of my bank app.

They want a copy of my business registration and tax return.

This is actually good, because a human being is looking at my application.

Presumably It will be easier to upload the information this time.

They also have a Facebook page and might respond to POLITE queries.

I applied recently to LA office.

The first item I downloaded was a not great picture of my passport.

The machine could not read anything of the bio data but said it would be corrected in the subsequent section where it is typed in manually.

This implies they are relying on their machine to do the reading and it’s imperfect.

I do hope my application is not rejected….or they ask for a better copy.

Does anyone want to speak to the LA consulate staff? They are having a Thailand Beach Party in Santa Monica tomorrow Saturday.

you could also set up a side job doing remote computer work….say as an influencer or travel blogger talking about airlines. This should qualify for DTV.

Alternatively you could set up a course of medical or dental treatments in BKK and qualify for "soft power ".
