@Robert ********
how much overstay experience do you have?
Todd *********
Nothing at all. Overstay fines are 500 baht/day. But they often waive the fine for one day. No worries

I make 8% in govt backed deposits offshore.

For someone to hole 800k equivalent, That’s 64,000 baht per year. Tax withholding is 10%. Net gain every year 57,600. Agent renewals are

leaving 41,600 in the account every single year. And all you have to do is give your passport to your agent and head to the beach. No forms to fill out. No standing in line at bank trying to communicate and get the annual paperwork. No waiting at immigration every year.

It’s a pretty reasonable way to go. If you can’t afford an agent, DIY will waste a day every year, but only costs 1900

it’s the ‘normal rate’ for first time. Three month Non-O and 12 month extension. After that, half price for 12 month extensions

It's more of a factual way to look at it. There is no amount of lipstick that can disguise that pig. Experience.... is in sales. Not in paying out claims or making customers whole. And the very complexity of the '1,000's of policies' plays into their advantage. They prey on people's insecurities and have the actuarial data to back it up. I am not suggesting anything. I am clearly stating that ALL of you have a strong conflict of interest at play. And the very nature of that is disingenous and manipulative.

about 17k for annual renewals afterward. Some will find better (or worse) pricing

if you can afford to have someone else stand in line for you, may as well.
