What country are you a resident of? Because I heard you had to be a resident of the country you were getting the visa at. Also I thought you had to get a criminal background check done of your resident country. If I’m wrong I am very happy

Yeah, I’ve heard from others that the Embassy in Hong Kong is pretty responsive. Even got an elite visa member into Thailand.

yeah, I was directed to the embassy site in Switzerland and it specifically said only people of Swiss nationality could apply for the S TV. But didn’t you hear also that the S TV program was put on hold? Unfortunately, here in Korea the embassy does not answer the phone, does not receive messages, I did not answer email. But yet requires an appointment.

unfortunately, he is right regarding the attitude of thai local people to foreigners coming in. They did a badly run poll they showed like 95% did not want farang coming in but on the other hand 93% wanted an improvement in the economy. So they’re pretty schizo. Like the expression, They want to have their cake and eat it too.
