They all seem to make it up as they go along which is where a lot of misunderstandings arise - unlike the British embassy which just take your money and gives lousy service - come on 10 working days to issue a piece of paper !
Right it goes like this...my extension of stay based on retirement is up on friday the 17th - the British embassy received my paperwork on the 8th and according to my phone call this morning I can expect them back (not in one week ) as years gone by but on the 22nd. So the extension will be finished before the affidavit is returned therefore as suggested by Robert my wife called them about a 60 day reprieve upon which she was told in no uncertain terms that is an old law and has now changed it has in my terminology 'been binned" so it's an agreed overstay or leave the country and start the whole process from scratch...I hope this is clear as to my predicament.
