TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the reporting requirements after re-entering Thailand before renewing their yearly extension. They have a single re-entry permit and will be out of the country from June 20th to July 19th. Responses clarified that upon re-entry, a new 90-day reporting period begins and they do not need to report on July 20th since they will only report after their next entry, with the extension expiration date being August 17th.

thanks again Robert

Well because you are less than 90 days in the Kingdom you do not have to do your 90 day report on the 20th. a New period of 90 days start on your day of entry. You will get an Admitted to Stay stamp till 17th of August, same day as your Extension of Stay and 45 days before that day you can go and apply for a new Extension of Stay.

I've just noticed that although the 90 day reporting date will be 20th July the extension is dated to be finished on the 17th August so where does that leave me ?

I did not notice any changes in rules about re-entry permits. And I also never seen comments that your Extension of Stay will be Extended with the days you stay outside of Thailand.

Have the rules changed because this is not what I've seen on here before ?
Robert *******
Nope, you will get the same day as the last day of your Extension of Stay, you will not gain any extra days.

I thought the extension was frozen when your out the country !

No, your 90 day reporting is frozen, totally different.

You can apply for a new Extension of Stay 45 days prior the last date on current Extension. BUT if you do that you will lose your single re-entry permit, due the fact that this als based on current Extension of Stay. You have to apply before the 21st of July, so if you re-enter on the 19th you have 2 days left.
