TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around extending a stay in Thailand based on retirement and marriage. The main recommendation is to apply for a one-year, multi-entry NON-O visa from Savannakhet, which can be obtained based on a marriage certificate. It is confirmed that one can leave and re-enter every 90 days at any border or international airport, making it a feasible option for maintaining residency.

I agree with
@Steve ******
, a year-long, multi-entry Non-O based on marriage from Savannakhet or Ho Chi Minh City would be the way to go

Why don't you go for another years extention based on being over 50, simplest option, surely?

You've had one, at least so you know how to qualify and the process
