sorry for my confusion, but I'm getting the Non- O marriage visa before leaving (I was warned at the airport not to come back on a tourist visa because I am married).

Please correct me, but I will receive a visa good for 90 days in which time I have a month to get the bank account and seasoned in time for the extention I will apply for before the 90 days runs out?

I did in February...no problem.

However, an overstay of 1 or 2 days may be looked at entirely different than one of a week or more.

My experience after 16 years, 2 different passports, at least 5 overstays, 0-visas and tourist visas applied and granted with no problems, and never any mention of an overstay issue.

Only problem where I have been questioned at Suvarnabhumi was about frequent border runs and my need to apply for a different visa to avoid this.

As they look at the passport and see all the borderrun stamps, they start shaking their heads and tell me how this is no good.

In my experience, I have been questioned about my use of the multi entry tourist visas as it requires border runs which at the border is never an issue, but coming and going thru Suvarnabhumi is.

I have several overstay and it was never mentioned.

It's the multiple visa runs that they don't like.

Or possibly the combination of the two.
