That sounds about right, I was going to go to the US embassy to try and figure it out last year and then covid came along.

Her moms home and the hospital where she died are both in Don Muang so that's where I need to start.

Thank you for the advice, I've been dreading it because of the feelings it brings up, but its something I must do when I get out of quarantine. Perhaps I can start the inquiry process while I got all this free time right now. I have to.

Thanks.

I was married to a Thai citizen for 9 years and she died in 2015. I used to come in on a non-O visa.

I'm now remarried with a village ceremony, but have been procrastinating the legal certificate because its hard to get a straight answer for the procedure, and I have to track down the death certificate from her family that I no longer talk to.

Yes, I left in July 2020 and just got back.

They didn't like all the border run stamps I have in my passport as I usually come in on a 6 month multi entry visa. This time was a TR visa.

I almost got rejected because I keep coming in on tourist visas and I have a non legal Thai wife.

They gave me a warning marked in the computer and said I'll be rejected next time unless I get a marriage certificate and come in on a marriage visa.
