You only get 60 days on the visa exemption. You can extend it by another 30 days with a fee of 1900 baht. After that you must leave Thailand (within the 90 days).

To a Thai bank account, I transfer to my Wise account (no fee) convert to Baht (small fee) then transfer to Thai account (about 44 baht I think). Quite inexpensive and I don’t leave the house.

Revolut charges a fee once you reach a (rather low) limit. I think mine is £350. Also, check the fine print in the insurance - they usually stipulate that you must have a return ticket before you travel. I like to do open ended trips which means this type of insurance isn’t applicable.

From your post, I thought you were transferring from an overseas account into your Thai account. If this is so, then all you need to do is make a payment from your bank account into your Wise account. This is usually free. Then convert the money to Thai baht in your Wise account (small fee but good exchange rate) then do a ‘send! To your Thai bank account (maybe a 44 baht fee).

All this can be done online with the Wise app and your bank app.

I have been asked for an onward ticket on my last two trips. I wouldn’t risk it. It depends on the airline.

How do you plan on staying in Thailand for so long? That’s over 6 months.

Are you entitled to 60 day visa exemption? If so, you have until early November.
