depending on if it's multiple entry or single entry?

as I say, "piece of string" depending on the embassy and how busy they are.

if you're doing it on that basis, 800,000 for up to 2 months before and up to 3 months after ... but must NEVER fall below 400,000 through the year.

This is a "piece of string" question. Impossible to answer - especially with incomplete information.

Regarding your flight and quarantine hotel, make sure you only make fully flexible bookings just in case of issues.

You can't renew a visa ... you can apply for an extension of stay. Oct is the date you're looking at. Just keep an eye on your bank balances!

Pullman G. 5000 deposit, balance on arrival. So long as they get notice and proof of reason (like cancelled flight or declined visa), the 5000 can go against a future stay

If you are not a national of the country you're applying from, you need to prove that you're a legal resident.

For example, if you're applying in the UK, but aren't British, you need to show your UK residency permit.

what Mark said! Find an ASQ that takes a deposit - if the visa fails, or you can't travel for some other reason, you lose a small amount (and a good hotel will let you use that credit for a future booking!)

The 800,000 is required for 2 or 3 months before you apply. The 12 months statements are presumably to show that it hasn't ever dipped below 400,000 in the last year (as that is a requirement)?
