Is a marriage-based visa accepted for same-sex couples in Thailand, and should one wait for potential legal changes regarding civil partnerships?
I'm an British male. I am married to a Thai male (who also holds a British passport).
It is our intention to retire to Thailand in about 4 or 5 years.
Does anyone know if a marriage based visa is accepted based on same-sex marriage with a Thai nstional? I have heard that a "civil partnership" is likely to be introduced to Thailand soon. Is it advisable to wait for that to see how the laws change?
