Not sure where the embassy is but the G Hotel is the best place I have stayed at there.

I deleted my previous post because as in this day and age you have people that think it is OK to throw stupid comments to people they have never even met or doubt they would say to there face if they did. My point was in the wider sense is that 12 % of Thailands economy depends on tourism. If it is the OPs first METV then they have no right ( and as long as you are polite) to even know what your plans are over the duration of the visa. The very reason why METV replaced the original 6 month visa in the first place. However if you have many back to back visas then sure of course they should ask. And always comply with the 20.000 bht if requested. When I used to use a tourist visa I was asked by immigration at the airport the same thing and given the very same polite answer. The whole crack down if there is one is about people working in Thailand when they are supposed to be tourists. Genuine tourists have nothing to fear or worry about. Many using the METV including many of my friends have no plans which was the point of offering such a flexible visa in the first place.

. Just one more question so sorry. How did you pay for it. I sent many emails and got one reply with same scripted response on there website. At what point did they take in thr payment in Thailand or UK. Do I use my Thai card to pay. I have no UK bank account so will have to use my wifes UK card to pay. Thank mate and thanks

thanks mate. Do they do the translation there and then? I have 30 dogs to look after and dont want to spend any longer than I have too in Bangkok. I have a UK bank account but it is different to my address on my UK driving licence which I will be using as my photo ID.

Can I ask what proof of address you gave to renew your passport. My only option is a letter from immigration but its in Thai and I need to get it translated. Where would I get it translated do you know? Thanks mate
