Rick, thank you for the tip regarding the credit card. I've just phoned the company and had confirmed me that there's no need to show it - I bought the tickets straigh from the Cathay website, not agents. The operator confirmed me that is 99% sure they want to see proof of onward travel.

I'm pretty sure that they just want to check if I have an onward trip or a visa... but I'm a bit worried because I called the company and couldn't confirm me anything, just "go to the airport and ask there".

I think so, but I'm a bit worried because I have just 3 hours in the airport prior to flight departure.

As said, I've an onward flight to Vietnam, because I'm going to travel through SEA those months. I'll enter Vietnam with the 15-days visa exemption for my nationality.

Madrid, Spain. I've checked in online in the past with that company in that airport, that isn't the issue. It's something regarding my "travel documents"

Does my friend need an onward flight from Thailand if she's returning home from Cambodia?

It's not her case: only one previous visit to the Kingdom, back in 2014 ;)

I know they can ask, that is the reason I'm a bit worried. She is coming back to our home country - she is in her holidays, must return to her work - but I'm not sure if the flight back home from Phnom Pehn is enough proof for inmigration in the case they ask...

Tnx Tod. We'll flying with Cathay, with stopover in HK. Never had asked me for an onward flight on my home country when traveling to Thai with other companies (Qatar and Thai Airways)

BTW, both go and return with the same company.

Anyway, we'll do the online check in, so I think that is no problem: if they ask for an onward travel we can book one cheap Air Asia and then do again the check in...

Good news. How do you know what ATM gives dollars? Do the machine have any visible sign, or something in the welcome screen?
