What documents do I need to update my TM30 upon returning to Chiang Mai?

Question about TM30

Recently I signed a 1 year rental contract. Landlord did the TM30 and I have the receipt. Right now I'm out of Thailand. When I return I know that I have to update my TM30 in the first 24 hours because I live in Chiang Mai, where the rule is enforced.

What should I bring to the inm office?

I have been searching but couldn't find what do I exactly need: is enough with the TM30 and passport? Any photocopies? Rental contract? Need to bring a POA from my landlord? Should I do a TM28 also?

My address and landlord is the same as the one in my current TM30, only traveled abroad and coming back to Chiang Mai next week.

I'm not sure if it's acceptable to ask about the TM30/28 here... If not, please Robert or Tod close it and accept my apologies.

TIA!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon returning to Chiang Mai, you need to bring your original TM30 receipt and passport to the immigration office. There is no need for photocopies or additional documents like the rental contract or a power of attorney from your landlord. The TM28 is only necessary if you change your address within the same province.

Alvaro as mentioned above several times. Tm30 return if address is the same, take receipt, tm6 and I take passport to counter 1, get a number and they will stamp receipt with date. Nothing more, no forms, no payment

So, just to be sure: the TM28 is only if I change my address inside the same province, right?

When coming back from traveling, I have just to do the TM30, right?

To update just departure card and original receipt. No need passport.

Can even give that to someone else to do it for you.

Immigration new office moved near to the airport now. Bring your original TM30 and passport, go to Counter “1” get a number (tell her for update TM30) and wait for number to call. It’s FREE for this update. 1st time need Report 24hrs, after can be Report 1-2wks (some said 1mth but I usually not wait that long)

Thank you so much! This will be my first visit to the new/old office :D

Uhm... If I travel again (thinking in going out for Loi Kratong), when returning, should I update in 24 hours or can update in 2-3 days? I thought you should update in 24 hours every time you come back...

Just your receipt and passport. Depending on how they're feeling they'll either stamp it with the new date or write on it. I've done it at CM a few times and it's pretty straight forward! They don't need copies of anything.
