In fact, if you should fill a TM28 each time you "change your address" that implies EVERY FARANG should fill it EVERY TIME they stay in a hotel. That's absolutely undoable.

You're confusing filing the TM30 with UPDATING the TM30...

The first file of the TM30 is a matter of the owner, right.

But you OR the owner should UPDATE the TM30 each time you come back to the same address after an overnight elsewhere.

And then there's the TM28, which for me, in the real world, looks exactly like the TM30: report each time you come back home.

Peter the thing is: if I come back to the same address after a trip, I update the TM30 just by bring my passport and TM30 receipt.

But, is it an address change? Should I fill a TM28 "change of address" when I return to THE SAME address after a stay in a hotel, by example?

That is my doubt and what confuses me so much: what is a "change of address"?

But then, when should I update each?

I mean, apart from the theory, in the real world, I have to go and update the TM30 by myself when I come back home from a trip.

When should I update the TM28? Each time I update the TM30? Or only if I change my usual address?

David new for me too the "even in a province inside Thailand" part, but that was what the officer replied to me.

I will go to Sukhotai for Loi Krathong, so after I will go to update TM30 and so I will confirm if yes or not needed inside Thailand.

Just for additional info about Chiang Mai, where they enforce TM30 updates as well. When I went to update after an abroad trip I asked the officer about when to update. They said "every time you stay overnight in any other province or abroad".

Last Monday I came to pick up my residence certificate at 6:50pm, the office was still open.

There're no people thought, so I think they stop servicing at 4:30pm as usual, but office remains open until 7om or more while doing their work. So not sure if you can update your TM30 after 4:30pm, but for sure office is open.

When you do the 90d report online, do they provide a receipt? Should you print it and keep in your passport?
