Individual branches even of the same bank will have different rules. Within each branch, one worker will tell you different requirements from the worker at the next desk!
Personally, on an Ed visa I was asked to pay 12,000 insurance before I could open an a/c with Kasikorn, so I opened with Bangkok bank with just a certificate of residency & 600 baht fee for the card.
ok, I believed that because I’d already paid 1900 for the extension to 26 Oct., then when the amnesty was extended, I would just need to return with my passport to get the new stamp to 30 Nov. No paperwork, forms or additional fees?
Ed visas are not being issued in-country. Here is the letter dated 11 Aug from ministry of education requesting immigration to issue them in Thailand, but not approved as yet. Normally 2000, but unsure what they offered you as they cannot issue an Ed visa.
