Jomtien immigration - 30 day ext

I applied 02/09, stamped to return 22/09. Today I was told to come back on 25/09.

Anybody know why 30 day ext aren’t being issued until Friday at least?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about delays in issuing 30-day extensions at Jomtien immigration, which resulted in various community responses. Several commenters mentioned that the immigration office issues an 'under consideration' stamp, requiring applicants to return later for approval. This delay might stem from a high volume of applications being processed, with limited daily queue numbers being issued. Others shared personal experiences of similar delays in other locations. Ultimately, the user received their extension approval on a subsequent visit.

They've only been issuing 150 queue numbers a day. That could be why, if you went late.

I didn’t need a queue number. That’s only for people applying.

My comment is incorrect. I was told that I had an extension by someone with limited English, but I’ve just checked and found that I am under consideration. Sorry about the misinformation. I was just trying to help.

This is regular SOP. You cant get 30 days right away because your application will be sent to a main branch like Chiang Mai up north, Khon Khean in the east, Hatyai in the south to get processed and embassy letter to get checked for authenticity.

More people not getting the extension means more people getting fined massive amounts.

So by creating chaos on Friday with huge queues and people just saying "fook it, I'll just take the overstay" they are creating an influx of money that goes directly into the decision makers accounts 🙂

Allegedly.

I have had the same in July here in Chiangmai. I received a stamp to come back on 31 of July but they don’t received the confirmation and asked me to come back on the 5 of August. I think that they have too much files to treat for the moment and that makes a little more time but don’t worry

that’s good. Thanks for the info. Makes sense they cannot complete the applications within the 20 days.

It's strange what shit humans are pulling to stay at one place at a time on this planet, a planet which rightfully belongs to all creatures on it.

True but they must doing something right everybody wants to stay here and people who aren’t here are crying to get in. If you have family here I totally understand and sympathize, but many don’t .

As rightly said by Physicists, Professor Michio Kaku, that there could be three types of civilizations in the universe, type 1, type 2, type 3. Type 1 is a planetary civilization, a civilization that has outgrown their differences and taken full control of the resources of their planet. Type 2 is a solar civilization and type 3 is a galactic civilization. We are as he said Type zero civilization, we cannot even get over our differences, we are hell bent on hating eachother, killed eachother destroying eachother.

De Mace you don't understand buddy. These humans made laws are unrealistic and impractical. Nature does not recognise these walls and imaginary boundaries that we humans have made to seperate ourselves from ourselves. A deluge does not mark its path based on what is so called deplomaticaly allowed, it destroys whatever comes in its natural trajectory. I hope you get the more realistic point

De Mace Again, you are not getting my point. I understand that these unnatural laws are in place, what I am trying to say is that these laws are funny and unwanted at the same time when we speak from a planetary perspective, when we see all humans as one race and picture a scenario where we live in harmony with eachother and other species, this premitive model of civilization and borders falls like a house of cards.

They issue an “under consideration” stamp and a date for you to return. On that date go back to immigration and you’ll get the stamp until October 26th. I believe the reason why is they have to get your documents to Bangkok but can’t confirm that.

yes that’s what I did on the 2nd. They’ve sent my docs to Bangkok 20 days ago. See my stamp above. This doesn’t explain why they didn’t stamp me till
