Visa? You'd apply for that at an embassy. But if you've a UK passport you can enter without a visa: visa exempt.

Think you carry both to show immigration. Not sure if passport office gives you anything else to show. Think you then transfer your extension to new passport. Wait for admin.

I'm really sad to hear your relationship was so dreadful. But a child, no matter what age, has to live with the pain of parents that are desperately unhappy and "hate" each other. I hope you can be there for your son, they are always our "babies" no matter how old.

to come to UK, the father would have to have registered the birth at the British embassy in Thailand. I think also show the marriage proof too.

Thailand much the same as other countries. You need long term visa etc.

It took a while but I got one eventually. Not unlike Thailand. In UK banks don't open accounts for tourists but people seem to complain about Thailand mostly.

yes. You said a foreigner opening an account in Thailand is very hard, but opening an account in USA is easy.

so as a foreigner in USA you found it easy to open an account? I didn't. I was refused because, amongst other things like Thailand, they required a long term visa.
