I presume it is right after we take the escalator down, before we queue up for the immigration stamp? Need any documents, photos?

Do I need my landlord to sign something for the TM30 notification of residence upon returning to Thailand?

Yes. Samut prakan - they want it. Just bring along copies of: landlord ID, Landlord Blue book, lease agreement, your passport + the last tm30 slip (if you have it). I done mine with these.

The usual documents (birth cert, child tabien ban, wife id + tabien ban, tm30, passport + copies) worked. Got my extension received in good order. Good luck mate

Oh ya. As for the tabien ban, we got the "certified original certificate" from the nearest district office. Go in with the Thai birth certificate/ID card, and you can get it. Its acceptable.
