, thanks for pointing out that you can get the 60 day visit family extension on top of that 90 day single entry Non-O visa. Many people don't realize you can do that. (y)

Can be extended for another 60 days at your local immigration.

Pete Wright Any visa or visa exempt stamp can be extended 60 days if you are visiting immediate thai family (e.g. Thai spouse). Although i would always recommend at least a SE non-o which is fairly easy to obtain at an honorary consulate or neighbor consulate if you can prove marriage.

The 1 year extension requires a non-immigrant visa.

yupz. Look at it as 5 months visa costing 3900 baht and you get a short getaway as well.

Cheers mate, thats not a bad alternative to the year visa if the cost is 2000bt for visa and 1900bt for the 60 day ext.

Especially as im only 60km from udon thani

@tod

Thanks for that.

Can i also extend that 30 day ?

Be better if i just have the funds in my account i know but i cant bank on that and i cant prove funds coming from uk so this is another option if 400k isnt available

I thought the Tambien Baan couldnt be taken out of the country. Go figure.

No proof of funds in account ?

Im also on a non 0 based on dependant due for renawal early next year

you can only get a 90 day single entry Non-O based on being the parent of a half thai child at both Vientiane and Savannakhet and neither require proof of funds

Yep. Same as that a couple of weeks ago. Original birth certificate and original Tambien Baan, although photocopies of mothers id were not needed and returned to me.
