I understand that. I am not retired to Thailand yet. But when we are there we stay mostly with friends or family all around Thailand.

I’m curious how immigration would even know if you took a drive of about an hour to Chiang Mai and stayed a few days.

When I’m with the wife or kids I always do it’s faster. Never been told not to.

We used US to board plane in US,Thai to enter Thai,US to board plane in Thai then Thai to depart Thai then US to enter US no problem.

Yes I understand that. Just saying that some things Thailand does require to be apostille by the US State department

Delta would not allow our kid to board the plane in the US with a US passport because no visa for Thailand over 30 day stay. So showed Thai passport no problem get on plane.

Not to sure about that. We had to get or kids born in the US birth certificate apostille thru the US State department. So we could get them a Thai birth certificate.

We did ours thru the mail with the Thai embassy in the US. Obviously we didn’t mail the kids there. So answer no.

Wow that’s great. So if you get a “retirement “ visa in your home country it’s really not much different then if you run an O in country after a year and a half . So it saves you the time and money of going back to your home country to get an actual “ retire “ visa.
